Couples Telehealth Therapy in Arizona
Relationships are often deeply affected when one or more partners face chronic illness, chronic pain, trauma, PTSD, stress, or major life transitions. Couples may find themselves struggling with communication, disconnection, role changes, co-parenting struggles, or recurring conflict patterns that leave each of you feeling defeated.
While these challenges place strain on a relational bond, they can also create opportunities for understanding how you enter into this dance of disconnection, exploring the parts of you that may be protecting your heart from further hurt, and find the teammate that may have gotten left behind when relational repair or closeness felt too scary.
My work with couples is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most researched and effective approaches for strengthening relationships and secure relational bonds. I integrate parts work and influences from Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and its couples therapy model, Intimacy From The Inside Out (IFIO), to see your internal system as inherently good…just stuck in a protective stance without enough experiential safety to switch gears.
Together, we’ll meet the parts and patterns that keep couples stuck, while building new bridges for communicating what’s happening in and between you. Each moment is an opportunity for relational healing; step-by-step, we’ll draw the map to help you walk back to connection with your loved one.
Whether you are navigating the impacts of health challenges, recovering from relational injuries, or simply seeking a stronger bond, therapy can help you move from cycles of frustration and disconnection toward greater closeness and understanding.
